Warriors Take Series Lead 2-1

Los Angeles, CA - In a thrilling NBA Western Conference Finals matchup, the Golden State Warriors defeated the Los Angeles Lakers 128-117 on Saturday night at the Chase Center.

Stephen Curry led the Warriors with 24 points, 5 rebounds, and 8 assists, while Klay Thompson added 22 points and Draymond Green contributed 10 points, 10 rebounds, and 8 assists.

LeBron James paced the Lakers with 26 points, 14 rebounds, and 8 assists, while Anthony Davis added 23 points and 10 rebounds. Russell Westbrook struggled from the field, shooting 3-of-13 for 8 points.

The Warriors took control of the game in the second quarter, outscoring the Lakers 36-20 to build a 15-point lead at halftime. Curry and Thompson combined for 27 points in the quarter.

The Lakers fought back in the third quarter, cutting the deficit to 5 points at one point. However, the Warriors responded with a 10-0 run to push their lead back to 15.

The Lakers never got closer than 8 points in the fourth quarter, as the Warriors closed out the victory to take a 2-1 lead in the series.

Game 4 of the series will be played on Monday night at the Chase Center.
